A new fav from a recent wedding

Shot a lovely wedding this May for Daniel and Caroline at The Darlington House near Dupont Circle.  I’ve got to say, the place was packed! But it was great shooting in such small confined quarters.  Coming from California, I am used to shooting lots of natural outdoor light, but am soon learning that DC does not always accommodate that type of wedding (can somebody say polar vortex).  Although indoor lighting is nothing new to me, this wedding is a good example of how to use it to your benefit.

Shot Steve and Todd’s wedding in the bitter bitter cold, athough it was one of the nicer DC days.  We did a few mock photos in front of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC before taking their wedding photos right beside it.
